A Deep Commitment to Mahoning County

For more than 27 years, I have dedicated my career to serving Mahoning County families — as a prosecutor, defense attorney, assistant law director, and community advocate.

I've seen our justice system from every angle. I've worked alongside families navigating the most difficult moments of their lives. And I've never lost sight of the fact that behind every case is a real family.

A Career of Service to Mahoning County

I serve as the defense attorney coordinator for Mahoning County Drug Court, working alongside Judge John M. Durkin to help participants find treatment, rebuild their lives, and reunite with their families. I volunteer at the Domestic Relations self-help clinic, assisting families who can't afford counsel with divorces, custody, and support matters.

My work has always centered on dignity, fairness, and genuine compassion for families — values I will bring to the Domestic Relations bench.

WHAT OUR NEIGHBORS ARE SAYING

I've practiced law in Mahoning County for years, and I've seen Terry Grenga in action — in the courtroom and in the community.

What sets her apart is that she's been on both sides. She's prosecuted cases and defended clients, so she understands what everyone in that courtroom is going through.

Terry is thorough, prepared, and treats everyone with respect. That's exactly the temperament we need on the Domestic Relations bench.

I've seen Terry's work with Drug Court, and I've watched her fight for people when they're at their lowest. She doesn't give up on families. She shows up, she listens, and she helps people find a path forward.

Terry understands that the people who come before this court aren't just case numbers — they're parents, children, and families trying to put their lives back together. Mahoning County needs a judge who sees that.

Not everyone can afford a lawyer, and Terry has never forgotten that. I've seen her volunteer her time at the self-help clinic, helping families navigate divorce and custody when they had nowhere else to turn.

She didn't have to do that — she did it because she cares about Mahoning County families. That's the kind of person I want making decisions in our court.

Terry's Vision for the Bench

Every family that comes before this court deserves to be heard with dignity — and to have a judge who understands what they're going through.

COURTROOM EXPERIENCE

For more than 27 years, Terry has tried cases across Ohio — bench trials and jury trials, criminal cases and family law matters. She's served as a prosecutor, assistant law director, and defense attorney. That range of experience means she's seen the justice system from every angle — and she'll bring that perspective to the Domestic Relations bench.

FAMILY ADVOCACY

Domestic Relations Court handles some of the most personal moments families face — divorce, custody, child support, and protection from domestic violence. Terry has spent her career helping families navigate these challenges. As both a prosecutor and defense attorney, she understands every perspective in the courtroom and will ensure every family is heard.

DRUG COURT & RECOVERY

As defense attorney coordinator for Mahoning County Drug Court, Terry works alongside Judge John M. Durkin to help participants find treatment, rebuild their lives, and reunite with their families. She's seen firsthand how compassionate intervention can break the cycle — and she'll bring that same commitment to the Domestic Relations bench.

ACCESS TO JUSTICE

Terry volunteers at the Mahoning County Domestic Relations self-help clinic, helping families who can't afford counsel navigate divorce, custody, and support matters. She believes access to justice shouldn't depend on your ability to pay — and she'll make sure every person who walks into the courtroom is treated with dignity.
