Communications Workers of America Endorses Terry Grenga for Domestic Relations Judge

Third organization to back Grenga as the campaign enters its final seven weeks
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Communications Workers of America District 4 has endorsed Terry Grenga for Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division. The endorsement came in a September 1 letter from Rob Levonyak, Vice President of CWA Local 4300 in Canfield.
“We look forward to working with you, both during your campaign and as Mahoning County’s Domestic Relations Judge,” Levonyak wrote.
CWA is the third organization to formally endorse Grenga, joining the Mahoning/Trumbull Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, and the Youngstown Warren Black Caucus.
“CWA members know what it means to ask for a fair hearing and to expect one,” Grenga said. “Families in Domestic Relations Court deserve exactly that. I am proud to have CWA standing with this campaign.”
Grenga has litigated cases throughout Ohio for 27 years, serving as a prosecutor, an assistant law director, and a defense attorney. She is the defense attorney coordinator for the Mahoning County Drug Court, working alongside the Honorable Judge John M. Durkin to connect participants with treatment and reunite them with their families. She volunteers at the Mahoning County Domestic Relations self-help clinic, assisting families who cannot afford to hire counsel.
“At the self-help clinic I meet parents trying to find their way through the court on their own,” Grenga said. “They are not asking for special treatment. They want to be heard, to understand what is happening, and to know the process was fair. That is the courtroom I intend to run.”
The Domestic Relations judgeship appears on a nonpartisan ballot. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Early in person voting begins October 6, and the voter registration deadline is October 5.
